Jill Jovan
Jill Jovan is one of the leading choreographers in the contemporary dance scene today. Jovan is known for orchestrating humorous movements developed according to certain rules defined by each body movement, like a game.

In this performance, six men and women each sit in front of a computer placed on tables of various sizes, with ropes stretched across the space. The news streaming from the computer interrupts the performers, and they gradually lose their balance and start to disrupt the other performers, and end up hurting themselves. As the performance continues, the computers catch fire.

We hear about conflicts happening on the other side of the world via the media. What exactly are these images we receive through this process? This is the question Jill Jovan raises here. Witnessing this mediated representation of the world on the stage will hopefully lead the audience to ask themselves this question as well.
