Jun Tsunoda
Tsunoda creates well-balanced abstract paintings with washed-out colors applied with light touch. This is his first solo show in Tokyo, featuring 50 pieces, including new work on canvas and older drawings. Tsunoda also works as a graphic designer for advertising, magazines, books and CD jackets, continuing his lifework of drawing in these fields as well. His "Dod" series (2006-7), with its intricately layered colors, betrays an exuberant sensibility that draws us into his unique, sensuous world.
