print

This is Matsue's first solo exhibition at Wako Hall, showcasing his kimonos inspired by nature. He chose to build his studio near Mount Minou while searching for the clear water he needed to produce his colors and pigments. He aims to produce works that contain dreamlike, storytelling qualities to them, hoping to one day attain the same level of quality as his grandfather. His work reflects the beauty of Chikugo, as if part of the natural landscape has been woven into his textiles.
