Guardian Garden will be presenting a solo photo exhibition by Daimon Hara from March 10 onwards. Hara won the Grand Prix in the 28th "Hitotsubo" Photography Exhibition held in February and March last year, and this exhibition is the culmination of a year of production since.

Hara tells eccentric stories through photographs using a self-portrait method. In this exhibition based on the theme of friendship, we are introduced to a person and a wild boar who met on a mountain. The photos trace their encounters, from their initial meeting right up to their eventual parting. The emotional exchanges between man and animal seem to overlap with and mirror the ever-changing mountain scenery that they travel through. One of most charming things about these photos is the fact that Hara took all of them by setting the camera's self-timer and then running across this mountainous landscape with poor footing, just in order to make it in time to pose within the scene and be photographed - a mad rush of a process quite contrary to the easygoing comical postures seen in the photos.
