"What's Good Design 2008" Exhibition

Tokyo Midtown Design Hub
Finished
Since its establishment in 1957, the Good Design Award has supported the progress of Japanese life and industry, acting as the only institution in Japan that evaluates and advocates design from a comprehensive viewpoint. In recent years, over 1000 corporations and designers from both Japan and abroad have participated in this Award, and creators from various fields have been given awards.

This year, the Award is attempting to reconfigure the screening process, as well as looking into the establishment of new awards, with a view to spur the design practice on to make further contributions in more fields, and in so doing, build a wealthy society filled with possibility.

This year's exhibition will showcase recent award-winning works and video messages from the judges that introduce the Award's new perspective and principles. There will also be a display of "Long Life Design" works selected by experts in the design field.
