This event has ended.
At National Film Center
Media: Film
EU Film Days is an unique festival showcasing the diversity and distinction of European film-making. The sixth edition of the festival will take place from mid May to early June 2008, and involves the cooperation of the embassies of EU Member States in Japan, a number of Member State cultural institutes, the National Film Center of the National Museum of Modern Art, Tokyo (NFC), and the Delegation of the European Commission to Japan.
Twenty-one films will each be shown twice during a three-week period at the NFC as part of the 2008 EU-Japan Friendship Week. Eleven of these films have never been shown in Japan before. This collection represents 19 of the countries that comprise the 27-member European Union. The films selected for this year's EU Film Days festival show the variety of emotions that color life in Europe, and the humor in particular, in all its shades.
