Wieden+Kennedy is an independent and creative ad agency that strives tirelessly to "fail harder" (posted at its headquarters in Portland, Oregon) on a global level.
This exhibition introduces the struggles (work) of Wieden+Kennedy Tokyo in the ten years since its founding in 1998, during which time it has continued to defy the advertising status quo from the perspective of "Oykot" -a viewpoint which derived from the fusion of diverse individualities and abilities.
Where do the ideas and creative passion for their advertisements and communications come from? How are the "work," "people," and "office" of W+K Tokyo being nurtured? In the cultural dynamism of urban Tokyo, what sorts of people are making what sorts of things, how are they making them, and what will they create in the future? This exhibition looks back at the past ten years, while simultaneously providing a vision of the future.
A range of daily events will also take place during the exhibition period.
