Nikkor Club "Enchanting Bali: Photography Tour"
This event has ended.
At Nikon Salon Bis
Media: Photography
Celebrating the 55th anniversary of the founding of Nikkor Club, as well as the 20th anniversary of the establishment of Nikon Imaging Japan Inc., this exhibition features photographs taken by participants of the special "Alluring Bali Photo-Shooting Tour" project conducted this June.
While Bali is known as a resort island, its inhabitants treasure their traditions and religious beliefs and live honest lives. The project participants' preconceived ideas about this place were abruptly dispelled, however. The innocent smiles of Balinese children are something we can no longer encounter in present-day Japan. No wonder that so many Japanese people become enchanted by this place and move there eventually.
Blessed with fine weather throughout the trip, all participants enjoyed nature to the fullest, folk customs, culture and their encounters with the people of Bali, taking countless photos along the way. Their memorable experiences are reflected in the works on view.
