The original manga "Itazura Kiss" on which this exhibition is based was a huge success, selling more than 27 million copies over 23 issues. The author, Kaoru Tada, suddenly passed away in 1999, leaving the series an unfinished work in progress. The "love bubble" generated by "Itazura Kiss" will be get a new lease of life as an animation channel starting this spring (broadcasting begins in April on CBC/TBS). The Taiwanese drama "Itazura Kiss - playwright version 2 " is also scheduled to be released this spring on BS-i.
