Art Front Graphics organizes special exhibitions by artist or theme on a monthly basis. June 2008 features drawings of distant, expanding horizons by France-based Japanese artist Saiko Kaito, as well as Yuka Nakamura's impressive undulating horizons.
Views of horizons differ depending on whether you are standing on a mountain top or the observation deck of a building, while the horizon visible while standing in a desert or the middle of a grassy plain is connected to the ground surface one is standing on at that moment, expanding outward to some distant horizon - a link to some unknown place, a faraway realm, a path that connects them. If one relies on one's own physical body as a measure, horizons take on an unfathomable size and distance, yet they are also an expanding boundary that stirs dreams and the imagination. The works in this exhibition explore these different conceptions and forms of the horizon, prompting in turn different views and readings of what lies beyond in the distance.

*In addition to these horizon-themed works, many other works are also on display.
