Tatsumi Hijikata
1968 marked a transition point in Japanese political history. Radical political views and activities, experimental mentalities, and rebellion against traditional social models came into the cultural foreground.
This third Art Archive Exhibition analyzes the year 1968, focusing on Tatsumi Hijikata's performance, "Rebellion of the Body". This exhibition also includes documents from Shuzo Takiguchi and Shoichi Yui from the same period, presenting the idea of the "rebellion of the body" seen within the context of the year 1968.
