Yoichi Nagano
Yoichi Nagano was born in 1968. After graduating from college, he exhibited a series of portrait photographs of ten generations of the Anamishoto islands of Okinawa at the 1998 open call exhibition "Human Cities Project" organized by Guardian Garden. Since this exhibition, Nagano has continued to exhibit actively, and has also published a collection of photos called "Shimai Hohoemi" in 2001 from Joho Center Publishing. The essays and images in this book have gone on to make this a bestseller.

Over 10 years, Nagano has continuously taken photos of the islands of Japan, winning the hearts and emotions of viewers through his sensitive treatment of the lives of these island dwellers over the past ten generations.

This exhibition is his first solo exhibition in Tokyo in about 4 years, commemorating the publication and release of the corrected edition of "Shimai Hohoemi." Around 30 works are on display, including newly-taken works.
