Agfa is well-known as a traditional European film manufacturer that makes unique cameras with unusual color results and composition features, attracting a strong cult following. The era of the Agfa camera was marked by a wistfulness about the potential of photography and lively innovations in the design of its cameras. From the square box camera to the small 110 and 35mm model that married beauty and ease of use, Agfa cameras showcased a casual, offhand sense for the beauty of photography that carried on with an unflagging devotion over the years.
The camera company that has captured the minds of an entire generation of youngsters will be celebrated in this exhibition of used cameras sourced from users with a particularly close connection to Agfa. Cameras manufactured during the 50s and 60s including rare limited edition ones will be both on display and available for purchase. Film and commemorative merchandise will also be on sale.
