Yoko Yamamoto "Passing Things"

Galerie Chêne Tokyo
Finished
"Passing Things" is the title of the piece which printmaker Yoko Yamamoto created for the newly opened Railway Museum in Omiya City in Saitama Prefecture last October. A stained glass piece about the size of 3 by 10 meters was completed, based on design images she has created in copperplate prints and also on canvas.

This exhibition presents works Yamamoto created in the process of making the stained glass work. A smaller version of the piece will be shown as well as some of the prints and paintings. The piece "Passing Things" is inspired by essays about railways written by 10 contemporary writers who were invited to collaborate on the piece by Yamamoto.
