Artists

Yusuke Asai
Asai is known for his "Masking Plant" series that features various plants and living things drawn and painted onto the floor on which masking tape has been plastered. Not confining himself to exhibiting these works in galleries and art spaces, Asai is also adept at putting on displays on streets, walls of buildings, and rooftops. Originally working mostly from Yokohama, Asai now travels throughout Japan and is often also asked to exhibit overseas. This exhibition features Asai's new series of "Mud Paintings", the first public showing of this work in Japan.
