Mitsuzo Yamada Exhibition

Ippodo Gallery Tokyo
Finished

Artists

Mitsuzo Yamada
During G8 Hokkaido Toyako Summit, Yamada's gilded folding screen with Mt. Fuji portrayal gained favorable notice alongside other 4 national treasure replicas.

In 1974, Yamada introduced his works in 14 cities of 8 European countries and the U.S. and received a high acclaim with his own innovative style. After such a feat, his works were displayed in VIP rooms at "International Garden and Greenery Exposition, Osaka, Japan, 1990" and "Expo 2005 Aichi Japan".

"Yamada's artistry reminds us of once-forgotten jewels on our planet, while invoking important issues of our century" says art critic Michiaki Kawakita. Yamada's pictorial surface brings positive current to present day.

On display at Gallery Ippodo are the painting for Toyako Summit and the one from Yubari City Museum collection.
