The heartwarming animated story "Kappa Coo and Summer Vacation" was released in theaters in the summer of 2007, winning the prize for animation at the Japan Academy Awards, along with a slew of many other awards. The DVD version was released on May 28th.
As a commemorative event for the release of the DVD, the Suginami Animation Museum presents a screening of "Kappa Coo and Summer Vacation" and a special talk event with director Keiichi Hara. It's all free for everyone.
