"61st Japan Independent" Exhibition

The National Art Center, Tokyo
Finished
As the title suggests, this exhibition provides every artist with the opportunity to fully exert their own creativity, individuality and humanity, while also aiming at eliminating authoritarianism and fairly enhancing the reaches of exchange. In Japan today, civilian movements against revising the Japanese constitution have advanced, and more and more Japanese have started to hope for a new Japan. The Nihon Bijutukai has continued to oppose war and operate under the fundamental principles of liberty and democracy. It will be interesting to see how the works in this exhibition "Japan Independent" will interpret the tides of the time. This exhibition will travel to Hiroshima and Kyoto after showing at this venue.
