Opening Commemorative Forum "Living in a Time of Creation and Exchanges"

YCC Yokohama Creative City Center
Finished
Now that times are dramatically changing, a variety of projects throughout Japan have emerged that aim at the revitalization of regional communities. What is necessary here is our innate creativity, close connections between people and strong aspirations for the welfare of the whole region. In order to further promote Yokohama's "Creative City" project, the Yokohama Creative City Center was launched this year with the aim of enhancing each citizen's creativity and supporting their independent activities.

In this forum, leading figures and researchers who have participated in various creative activities in the fields of art and social business are invited to speak in detail about the precedents of this phenomenon. What direction are we heading towards? What will Yokohama's "Creative City" project bring to our future? We hope that this event will serve as a stimulus for new discoveries and active exchanges.

Guests: Yayoi Tanaka (National Institution for Academic Degrees and University Evaluation, assistant professor), Tomohiko Okabe (Kotolab.LLC., president), Eriko Osaka (Yokohama Museum of Art, director), Taneo Kato (Yokohama Creative City Center, director)
