This is a two person exhibition by painter Darius and his friend and photographer Patric Jacob.
Darius, who lives on the island of Corsica in the Mediterranean, draws inspiration from the region's wild nature and ancient legends that reflects on his own life. Having recently lost both his parents and a close friend one after another, Darius' new work ponders the nature of his own existence and his inner psyche.
"The clouds in the sky and the stream below." This is his state of mind. His work materializes when he surrenders himself to the hands of fate, just like moving clouds and flowing water. Being human, however, his emotions cause him mental agony as well.
This is also Jacob's first solo exhibition in Japan. Jacob, too, loves the natural environment of Corsica. His unique portraits of actors, designers and singers capture them not only as models. Rather, these works pose the question of what man is.
