Archer Prewitt
This small exhibition at Now Idea marks the release of Archer Prewitt's (from the band The Sea and Cake) first collection of minimal art, "Works on Paper," from Presspop Gallery.

Archer is a multitalented artist known for his zany Sof' Boy comics, detailed drawings of girls and activities as a musician.

This collection of works brings together 32 of his finest drawings, created over a span of 20 years. Also included are three letter press print works by Jeff Mueller from the Chicago print workshop Dexterity Press. On display at this exhibition are copies of the book as well as a limited number of these original letter press prints, which will also be available for purchase.

Archer's fine eye for thorough observation brings a certain obsessive, monomaniacal madness to these lines and dots, along with his trademark sensibility for the organic, the ambiguous and delicate.
