Toru Otsuki "Somehow Shanghai"

Galeria de Muerte
Finished

Artists

Toru Otsuki
Toru Otsuki was born in Fukushima Prefecture in 1973. Decorated with gold leaf and line stones, female figures, flowers, birds and cats are the motifs repeatedly used in Otsuki's fantastical paintings. His glittery and yet sometimes nihonga-like canvases are filled with female fetishism. Two years have passed since his last solo exhibition, and this time works presented at the Shanghai Art Fair 2008, as well as new works, are on display.
