From Oriental landscape paintings to temporary urban installations, artists have long confronted the issue of how to portray and depict landscape using a variety of methods. This exhibition features works that incorporate elements of the topos and history of the chosen sites by artists who are participating in this year's Echigo-Tsumari Triennale, to be held later this summer in Niigata prefecture.
