Artists

Kenji Komatsu
Komatsu has long been drawn to the inexplicable appeal of man-made structures like huts, shacks and other dwellings. He uses sketches and photographs to record a trace of what he has seen on his travels - unbalanced structures that have been added to repeatedly for no apparent reason, dilapidated beachfront huts that stubbornly serve a purpose despite their condition, traces and marks of time left behind on walls that have been repaired using the most minimal of means and crude materials.

This exhibition showcases landscape reliefs and sketches of 10 such dwellings.
