Sei Kojima
Kojima's style of photography is to wander around at random in the city waiting for opportunities to capture something. You can tell from his images that he has a sharp sense of smell that never wavers. "What I feel most strongly for in photography are not remote landscapes like fields, mountains or rivers, but rather the most familiar portions of the city - the one where I was born, where I live. I found my way through photography by learning how to find charm in a city I have become only too familiar with. That's why I shoot the city center, back alleys, walking round and round as if to find out where I am. This time, while walking around Tokyo, I really understood how difficult it's become to capture it properly. Maybe that's one of the traps of modern society."

This photo exhibition is Kojima's second. Here, as well, by burning an image of what he sees onto the film, he tries to capture the invisible - in short, what stirred his emotions to capture it in the first place.
