The Resist Photography Juku is a workshop run by director Masayuki Yoshinaga and special guest instructor Daido Moriyama. The aim of the workshop is not the acquisition of photographic technique, but rather the chance to pursue an artistic path unrestrained by existing value systems and markets, cultivating photographers with a strong social character.
This exhibition features over 200 works by 16 young photographers who have been training their photographic "spirit" over the past year. Also being published to coincide with the show are photo books by the students and the two instructors (forthcoming in June 2009 from Roonee247Photography).
