"Lecture Series: Fascination of Space - Architectures and Cities of the World - Vol.1 'Architecture and Urban Space of Nepal'"

YCC Yokohama Creative City Center
Finished
There are four criteria for evaluating architecture and urban space: safety, health, convenience and comfort. Comfort, in particular, is considered a holistic concept that encompasses the other three criteria, and is thus a central consideration to the creation of architecture and urban space in this century.

One of the concerns that is central to the notion of comfort is a unique spatial appeal. Architectural features and historical cities that have been designated as world heritage often possess a great deal of this sort of appeal. This series of lectures will attempt to explore what this appeal consists of.

This 1st installment focuses on the architecture and urban space of Nepal, introducing visitors to the indigenous charms of the region.
