The collection of the Hiratsuka Museum of Art consists mainly of modern and contemporary paintings, nihonga and sculptures, with the "Art of Shonan, Light" as their theme. The museum received wonderful donations of works in 2008, and this exhibition presents 30 newly acquired artworks that are on view for the first time. The works include nihonga paintings by Gyoshu Hayamizu and Akira Ito, prints and paintings by Kyoko Hirano, and many more.
