Artists

Chema Madoz
The photography of Chema Madoz, born in Madrid in 1958, extracts a different world hidden beneath the everyday, attempting to achieve a transformation in the dimensions of objects through metaphorical means and realistic sensations. His studio is filled with weird objects full of paradoxes and little aphorisms and comments rich in humor. These materials he uses in a way that transcends the subject of their original sentiments, allowing them to take on a Dada-like context.

This exhibition features matchstick embers, lipstick cases and paella pans stripped on their original meanings and turned into completely new works of art. On display are 64 black and white photos, being exhibited for the first time in Japan.
