This is a solo exhibition by Ayako Nakamura, who has tirelessly produced work with "usalyman (rabbit salaryman)" motif ever since she introduced it with the magazine "Weekly Ayako" last year at B Gallery as a member of StairAug.photographics. On view in this exhibition are photographs of 100 various businessmen as well as a series of new paintings.
While photography and painting are different modes of expression, what Nakamura has striven to do with these media is to simply express "light and shadow" lying within. This approach demonstrates her sincerity and audaciousness as a creator.
