On her canvases, Asa Go depicts a rabbit as "other" and a girl as the projection of the artist herself. Her artistic process has been driven by questions like "who am I?" and "how do I relate to others?"

This exhibition brings together Go's experiences participating in the open studio at Fuchu Museum and a family trip to a deep forest at the foot of Mount Fuji.

Go at times feels a burst of loneliness in an urban environment, as if she is in a forest. An ocean of trees with no one around and the world with countless numbers of people. Coming to the realization that there might be similarities between these two situations, she grew to accept the concept of a "chasm" between self and other, symbolized in her depiction of a rabbit (other) and a girl (herself).

A total of 28 new works including 3D pieces will be on view.
