Ken Matsuyama "Map"

Sansiao Gallery
Finished

Artists

Ken Matsuyama
The Japanese word for map, "chizu," is composed of two words: "chi," which means ground, and "zu," which means figure. "Chi" can be seen as "zu", or it might be vice versa; "Zu" might even entirely conquers "chi".

Matsuyama's latest solo exhibition, "Map," features work in several different media: typical girl figure paintings in oil and acrylic materials, sculptures of tanks made out of paper, and a video installation.
