"Andersen Prize, Italy 1982-2009" Exhibition

Istituto Italiano di Cultura, Tokyo
Finished
Following the first installment in December 2007, this second edition of the Italian Picture and Children's Books Exhibition showcases over 30 years of work by winners of the Andersen Prize.

The renowned illustrator Gualtiero Schiaffino (1943-2007) founded the Rivista Andersen magazine in 1982, along with the Andersen Prize. This prize is awarded to the most outstanding picture and children's books published each year in Italy.

This exhibition is divided into 5 sections - authors, illustrators, picture books, children's book publishers and projects, and well-loved classics - featuring more than 350 of these lovely works. In addition, 27 original illustrations by well-known illustrators from the covers of various magazines will be on display.
