2008 Musashino Art University Graduate Program Graduation Exhibition

Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum
Finished
Coinciding with the 80th anniversary of Musashino Art University, this exhibition presents work by its graduate students in various disciplines. The university's graduation show started being held at the Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum in 2007, which hosted a comprehensive exhibition every year organized and curated by the students themselves. Following the "∞Maugen" exhibition held last year, this year's exhibition is being presented under the title "Monogataru" ("the act of telling a story" in Japanese).

The title implies both "talking about art", "what art speaks about", and everything in between. The exhibition is organized by associate professor Masayuki Tanaka and a group of graduating students (Keisuke Mori, Takahiro Arai, Minami Nishino), grouping works by 47 artists in the nihonga, painting, printmaking, sculpture, and photography departments under ten themes.
