This is the 15th installment in a series of exhibitions presenting the results of recent domestic excavations and research. This edition focuses on 20 archaeological sites all over Japan with discoveries dating from Paleolithic Period up until the modern age. Also introduced here are the Heijokyu ruins, whose restoration will be completed next year, the year marking the 1300th anniversary of the transfer of the national capital to Heijo-kyo, Nara prefecture.

Moreover, ceramic pieces unearthed from castle ruins from the age of provincial wars are on view at a regional exhibition entitled "Treasures of Warring States Hall."
