Reel-to-reel audio tape recorders are redesigned so to be controllable through a computer, turning into new devices for musical expression. The sounds recorded through a mike are reconstructed through the synchronizing as well as the different spinning rates of the reels of 3 recorders, giving life to a somewhat nostalgic but completely new sound.

Reel-to-reel tape recording is now being replaced by digital recording. It is the technology that was behind the development of cassette tapes in which sound is recorded onto magnetic tapes. Wada's devices seek a point that connects such analogue technology with newer digital forms of technology, reinventing the reel-to-reel tape recorder as an electroacoustic device. The 3 recorders create music through their computer regulated interactions that weave the recorded sounds together.
