Hideto Nagatsuka "Purified Landscape"

Radium von Roentgenwerke AG
Finished

Artists

Hideto Nagatsuka
Hideto Nagatsuka (b.1969) is known for his surreal landscape photographs that are produced through strict control of the depth of field.

Since most of Nagatsuka's works are landscapes, viewers tend to wonder where and how they were taken. However, for Nagatsuka himself, it is enough that they recognize them as landscapes.

Nagatsuka toys with the journalistic aspect of photography. His controlled scenery creates the illusion of a diorama that suggests that it is no longer necessary to wonder whether or not the place really exists.
