Held from September 13th through November 30th last year, a total of 72 artists from 25 countries participated in the Yokohama Triennale, attracting about 0.3 million visitors from both Japan and abroad. This symposium looks at the response to the Triennale - the biggest contemporary art exhibition in East Asia - and how the administration and citizens of Yokohama will tackle Yokohama Triennale 2011, to be held in 2 years time.
