Kazunori Sadahiro
Kazunori Sadahiro began working as an illustrator in the early 1990s, and has since shown his work at several solo and group exhibitions. In recent years he has been expanding the scope of his practice to encompass bookbinding, poster and graphic design.
When making work, Sadahiro pays particular attention to form rather than color, content more than surface, and visual enjoyment rather than verbal messages. The resultant painterly spaces are distinctive in their faded color tones and abstract style, and exude a mystical atmosphere reminiscent of wall paintings from pre-lingual ancient times.
During the exhibition period, Sadahiro will give live painting performances that utilize the entire wall space of Ongoing. His method, which aims to "convey painting through the act of watching," attains completion thanks to the audience's observation of the painting process.
