The Ueno Royal Museum Award started in 1983 with the aim of supporting unique and talented artists working in nihonga, oil, watercolor, acrylic, mixed media, sumi ink painting and prints. From representational to abstract work, there are no restrictions on the style of work that can be submitted. This exhibition showcases selected award-winning works from the competition.
