Crossing many national borders with a camera in his hand, Ishikawa realized how everything he encountered looked flimsy, spreading before his eyes as a homogeneously evened-out landscape. It was as if all the components of the contemporary society that had been photographic have become commercial. In such a climate, Ishikawa continues to devote himself to the act of photographing, through which he attempts to search for the significance of the medium. Around 35 color photographs are on view.
