"Colors 2009" Exhibition

Daikanyama Hillside Forum
Finished
40 top creators gather in Daikanyama for this interactive audience-centered art exhibition and party. Visitors who vote for their favorite artist stand a chance to win artist goods in a lottery.

"Colors" was originally conceived as an art event that would convey the unique appeal of art to as many people as possible. The first installment, held from November 26th-30th 2008, featured 40 groups of artists from all over Japan from Sendai to Ohita, as well as two international schools. On display were oil paintings, nihonga style paintings, illustrations, computer graphics, paper crafts, dolls, prints and more, attracting over 1,000 visitors over 5 days.

This year's lineup features two foreign artists in a stellar lineup that surpasses last year's event. We hope you take this chance to come discover your own "colors" - be stimulated, surprised and delighted by these works with only your own instincts as a guide.
