The Shiseido Gallery is pleased to announce the Tsubaki-kai 2009 exhibition through 7 April to 21 June, 2009. Tsubaki-kai is a series of group exhibition that celebrated its sixtieth anniversary in 2007, and the membership has changed over the years since its inception. It has been one of the representing exhibitions of the Shiseido Gallery.
The Sixth Tsubaki-kai, slated to get underway in 2007, features works by new members including Yasuko Iba, Chiharu Shiota, Masanori Sukenari, Kyotaro Hakamata, Naofumi Maruyama, and Miwa Yanagi.
Its third exhibition, Tsubaki-kai 2009 -Trans-Figurative-, will present works by Yasuko Iba, Chiharu Shiota, Masanori Sukenari and Naofumi Maruyama.
Only the Tsubaki-kai offers opportunities to experience the unusual combinations that will be brought out by these artists working in tandem for this year.
