With the aim of fostering new artists who will lead the future of the Japanese art world, the Agency for Cultural Affairs has been organizing the Japanese Government Overseas Study Programme for Artists. This annual exhibition has served as a platform for showcasing the results of this program. This 12th installment is being held for the 2nd time at the National Art Center, Tokyo, where aspects of Japanese contemporary art will be introduced through the work of 12 promising artists working in a wide variety of genres.
