The cartoonist for "Anpanman," Takashi Yanase, is a multi-talented figure who has been active in various fields. He is well-known as the songwriter of "Te no Hira wo Taiyo ni (We are not Alone)" and the editor of "Poem and Marchen." He has also produced "Yanase Marchen", a series of short picture story books filled with fantasy and lyricism, leaving a major mark on the postwar cultural history of Japan. On the occasion of the artist's 90th birthday, this exhibition introduces his oeuvre with a focus on his core project "Yanase Marchen".
