This event has ended.

Shugoarts is holding a solo exhibition by Tomoko Yoneda, who gained much attention with "An End is a Beginning" held at Hara Museum last year.

Yoneda has worked with the themes of invisible "histories" and "memories" hidden behind places and objects. On the course of such a practice, she created several series among which "Between Visible and Invisible", the photographs capturing autograph texts of historical figures like Freud, Gandhi and Mahler and other writings that carried significant meanings to them through eyeglasses actually worn by them, and "Scene", showing the current state of sites once suffered land mine explosions or used as battle fields during World War I, are notable.

This exhibition showcases a group of photographs presented at Bangladesh Biennale last year, portraying people who were engaged in the independence of the nation, and landscapes fraught with historical and social issues.
