Yuya Obata "Nightscape"

Site-A gallery and shop
Finished

Artists

Yuya Obata
Previously based in Fukuoka, Yuya Obata shifted to Hatsune Studio in Koganecho, Yokohama in October 2008. Since then he has made numerous 2D works that take Koganecho as their motif. All these works are nightscapes that depict light sources and their refractions scattered in the darkness, faintly reflecting the contours of objects. These images are unified with Obata's own eye, seeking to shape and frame a landscape shrouded in darkness.
