This exhibition presents works from the collection that depict religious scenes or religious content. Since antiquity, human beings have felt the divine in the endless skies or in the nature around them and sought to express it through poetry, music and painting. A particular focus is given to Silvia Minio Paluello Yasuda (1934-2000), a sculptor who found a "world where God resides" in the everyday. Other works by Japanese artists such as Toshio Arimoto, Kojin Kudo, Akira Ito, Naoaki Yamamoto and Yo Sugano that present diverse understandings of the spiritual are also on view.
