Artists

Taikan Yokoyama, Eien Iwahashi, Shigeo Iwasawa, Akitsugu Ishizaki, Kotaro Fukui et al.
The Sato Museum of Art has been providing scholarships for talented emerging artists for 19 years, supporting over 300 artists who are active in their respective fields. The museum also has provided opportunities for young artists to exhibit.

The main collection of the museum includes works by established nihonga artists such as Yuki Ogura and Tamako Kataoka, as well as works by past scholarship winners. Taking "Mountains and Forests" and "Summer Landscapes" as its themes, this two-part exhibition introduces works from the museum collection. By grouping works by both established and emerging artists under these particular themes, audiences can learn more about the conditions surrounding these various social backgrounds.

Workshops on sketching will be also held during the exhibition period. See website for details.
