Etiye Dimma Poulsen
Gallery Strenger is pleased to announce its second exhibition with Etiye Dimma Poulsen,
a Danish sculptor who now lives in Belgium. Born in Ethiopia in 1968, Poulsen spent her
childhood in east Africa in Tanzania and Kenya before settling in Denmark in 1982. After studying art in school, she moved to France in 1991 and started making clay sculptures. Poulsen's statues are structured with an iron mesh and covered with clay, with colors added before firing. This exhibition features her "Moon Watchers" in both clay and bronze.
